Financial Services Consultant

My Personal Story

“Why didn’t I think of this earlier? Why didn’t I do something about this? Why did I land myself in this situation?”

I’m sure we have all made mistakes in our lives and pondered upon these questions before. To err is Human. It is perfectly normal for us to make mistakes and learn our lessons from it, but not every lesson has to be learnt through making mistakes. With this thought in mind, I yearn to join a career that allows me to guide others in making rational decisions.

On top of that, I’ve always believed that every individual has a role to play in our society and it is our duty to give back what we have received. One does not have to be a teacher to teach, a caregiver to care, or a volunteer to offer help.

As a Financial Services Consultant, not only do I get to guide my clients through their financial literacy, I can also reach out and help those who are vulnerable and thus, offer them a listening ear. This career allows me to touch the lives of many, interact with people from various walks of life and hear about their stories or life experiences!

I hope to be a Financial Services Consultant whom my clients can readily pour out their troubles to when they cannot do so with anyone else. The reason behind this motivation was because of a personal encounter where I was in a position that made it hard for me to share about my troubles with anyone. This includes my friends whom I fear might not relate deeply with me, my family whom I fear might overreact and my colleagues whom I fear might reflect badly on me. As such, I believe others out there might have this as well and what will they do? Keep it to themselves. Which to me, is very saddening.

Life can be a roller coaster ride and growing up can be very lonely. As such, I hope to add colours to the lives of others and to serve them better.

My name is Yiru, and I am delighted to guide you through life’s adventure.
